Awards & Fine Gifts, Inc. was founded in 1986 by John W. Robbins.
It all started with a dream in 1972 while working for Tiffany & Co the world's premier jeweler and America's house of design.
They needed an executive sales representative in Chicago to call on corporations to sell gifts and custom awards. John worked side by side with world acclaimed designers and craftsman as they created the Super Bowl Lombardi Sterling Trophy, gilded bowls for world championships, corporate custom jewelry, corporate logo emblematic jewelry, pens and etched crystal awards.
After six years, he was hired by C. D. Peacock jewelers of Chicago where he established and led their corporate gift division. Eight years later, he started Awards & Fine Gifts, Inc.
Working from his basement, his first sale was for 6,000 crystal bowls purchased by the Conrad Hilton Hotel for their grand opening.
Today, John continues to work with clients who have been his customers for twenty-four years along with many new companies and organizations throughout the U.S.
Giving back to his community is an important part of his philosophy and over the years, John has served on the board of directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago and The Big Brother Big Sister Program of DuPage County. He is an active member of Rotary International.
